DATA FROM ANIE: A GROWING MARKET WHILE WAITING FOR GEE
image
The data from ANIE AssoAscensori, GEE's partner, reveal a growing market even for 2023, mainly thanks to the Construction and Building Modernization sector.

ANIE AssoAscensori, the National Association of Elevators and Escalators and partner of GEE, outlines a very optimistic scenario for the vertical and horizontal mobility sector.

The growing trend that characterized the market from 2021 onwards has been confirmed, with an annual increase in aggregate turnover of 3.9 per cent, as opposed to the decrease of 2020. A positive trend that was registered during a year in which the construction and building modernization sector experienced a phase of strong expansion, also benefiting from tax incentives.

The main contribution to growth, therefore, came from the domestic market (+7.6 per cent), against a decrease in foreign sales, which on the contrary managed to resist the decline in 2020.

In the journey towards GEE, consequently, the outlook for 2023 sees a progressive development for the Elevators and Escalators sector, in line with the trend of the construction sector, where the expected investments, according to data from CRESME reported by ANIE, should register an increase of 6.4%.
